Multi-radio Solution

The Altair board is an industrial-grade IoT multi-radio solutions (Wi-Fi 6, qualified against Bluetooth® Core 5.4 technology, Thread, LTE, Camera) using standard interfaces and hostless mode.

To facilitate rapid IoT application development, Altair is backed by the same open-source SDK available on CodeLinaro for Qualcomm® QCC74xM EVKs, coupled with a VS Code extension and the Qualcomm® Connectivity Integrated
Development Environment.

Altair consist of a main board with Rpi® standard connector and 3 USBC connectors that can deliver the power to the board.

Please note the board cannot be powered from the Rpi® standard connector.
Altair is based on the QCC748M module with the tri-radio wireless MCU QCC748-2/-3/-6 chipset.

Rich Peripheral Interfaces

The EVK provides a wide range of standard physical interfaces for better compatibility with most external IoT devices and sports a camera connector. When the camera is not used the pins are available as GPIO.

Open-source Development Environment

The development is accelerated by the open-source SDK available on CodeLinaro, the Qualcomm® Connectivity Integrated Development Environment (QCCIDE), and a VS Code extension plug-in.

Rich Multimedia Support

The EVK's camera and display interfaces, along with its MIC audio input and MJPEG 720p codec, allow applications to capture and display multimedia at the edge.

Altair Physical interfaces

Power supply ( optional ) : PJ-082BH or Phoenix 5.08mm wire connector with polarity inversion protection, VIN from 4.2V to 18V limited by a 12V TVS.

Power can be delivered through one of the 3 USBC connectors:

a) USBC Debug connector for debug through FT2232HQ-TRAY ( uart + JTAG )
b) USBC port for the QCC748M module
c) USBC port for the Telit LE910Cx module
d) Rpi® standard 40 pin male connector
