Aventador II Orin Carrier Board

The Aventador II Orin Carrier Board is a professional embedded platform specifically designed for NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ modules. It provides a compact, reliable and feature-rich hardware solution for developers and system integrators building AI-powered edge computing devices, industrial automation systems, robotics, machine vision applications and intelligent IoT solutions.

Designed around the standard 260-pin SO-DIMM interface, the board fully extends the capabilities of the Jetson Orin™ family while remaining compatible with the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit specifications. It combines high-speed connectivity, flexible expansion options, advanced power management and simplified debugging into a single compact carrier board suitable for both development and production environments.

The Aventador II Carrier Board supports NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ modules equipped with:

  • Memory bandwidth up to 68 GB/s (102 GB/s in MAXN_SUPER mode)
  • Integrated Gigabit Ethernet support
  • Advanced Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS)
  • Intelligent power management

A dedicated 15A power regulator (AOZ2264NQI-11) allows full support for NVIDIA’s MAXN_SUPER operating mode, enabling maximum performance when required.

Storage Options

The board includes two M.2 expansion sockets located on the bottom side:

  • M.2 Key M (PCIe Gen3 x4) for high-speed NVMe SSDs (typically 2280 format)
  • M.2 Key E (PCIe x1) for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other communication modules (typically 2230 format)

Additional mounting positions allow alternative module lengths, providing greater flexibility for custom hardware configurations.

Since standard Jetson Orin™ production modules do not include onboard storage, installing an NVMe SSD is mandatory. A minimum capacity of 64 GB is recommended, while 256 GB is suggested for most production applications.

Power Management

Reliable power delivery is essential for AI applications. Aventador II integrates an intelligent power management subsystem capable of handling the complete startup sequence of the Jetson module.

The board automatically detects the installed Jetson module and manages startup, shutdown and fault conditions without requiring external controllers.

Debugging & Development

The Aventador II has been designed to simplify software development and hardware debugging.

A dedicated USB serial console provides access to low-level boot messages even before HDMI output becomes available, making troubleshooting significantly easier during development.

The integrated power management firmware can also be updated directly through the USB interface without requiring external programming hardware.

Fast Recovery Mode is fully supported, allowing developers to flash new firmware using NVIDIA SDK Manager quickly and efficiently.

NVIDIA SDK Compatibility

The carrier board is fully compatible with the NVIDIA SDK Manager, allowing standard Jetson Orin™ modules to be programmed using NVIDIA’s official software tools directly through the dedicated USB Recovery port.

New Jetson modules can be initialized immediately, while previously configured modules can be placed into Fast Recovery Mode using the onboard jumper whenever a complete firmware reinstallation is required.
